Mrs Pomeranz on the Movie Show said it lacked pathos. I do not know what experience of loss she has, may be more than me or more than I can imagine. But if you have experienced loss – of family, of loved ones – than you’d have to get it. Exquisitely handled, free of crass Hollywood vulgarity, totally local, totally Australian without nationalism. I cried all the way, especially the scene in my restaurant where OJ man tells Heidi about the things we could have said and sometimes we neglect to say…Bravo Richard and the cast. So refreshing to see Alex in a serious, painful role and done so without being in your face.
